Arden Academy Work Experience Students Create Promotional Video

June was work experience week for Year 10 pupils at Arden Academy.

Visit Knowle knew that two pupils were going to Visit Knowle members Studio Forty Six in June 2024, so we got together to give pupils the opportunity not only to experience what work is like in a creative business, but also to create a video that will be used in real life.

The two students were tasked with creating a video promoting the independent businesses in and around Knowle High Street. After two days setting the theme, creating storyboards and planning their shoot, as well as learning how to use the equipment, they hit the streets of Knowle to visit lots of businesses, takes some streetscene shots and to film all of their footage. On the Thursday and Friday they spent time editing their footage to create a video that we think is outstanding.

The video was premiered in front of over 4,000 people at Knowle Party in the Park, and subsequently shared on Visit Knowle’s social media channels where it has been viewed by over 3,000 people.

We think they showcased Knowle and its businesses brilliantly, and we’re really proud of them.
