Knowle Coronation Celebration
From 10am Bank Holiday Monday, 8th May 2023 you're invited to join community groups, businesses and entertainers in the centre of Knowle to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.
The organising team (Arden Academy, Arden Parent & Teachers Association, Knowle and Dorridge Lions, Knowle Parish Church, Knowle Society, Knowle Village Hall Association, Love Knowle Park & Visit Knowle) are busy preparing an exciting programme of events.

Programme of Events
To give you just a flavour of what's happening, the High Street will be closed from 7am so that an artisan market and community zone and stage can be set up.
The event opens to the public at 10am and finishes at 4pm. There will be entertainment on the High Street, street food on Kenilworth Road, activities in the church grounds and community groups to meet.
Artisan Market
Browse our artisan market showcasing local businesses on the High Street of Knowle. The market will be open from 10am to 4pm.
If you are a local trader interested in a stall, then register with CJ's Events Warwickshire.
Community Zone
As part of the Coronation Celebrations, Bank Holiday Monday is all about shining a light on volunteering for and getting involved in your community.
Local community groups will be on the High Street, so be sure to say hello and find out a little more about them.

Knowle Parish Church Celebrates
Plans for the Coronation are underway at Knowle Parish Church and among the activities on Monday 8th May will be the popular Tower Tours, where you can climb up the church tower. To book your tour, email kpcbells@gmail.com, indicating the number in your party including the ages of any children under 16 years and any preferred times for the tour.
The church itself will be open to visit an exhibition from Knowle Local History Society called ‘A Thousand Years of Knowle.’
Outside on the grass by Kenilworth Road there’ll be plenty of fun activities for all ages.

Grub Hub on Kenilworth Road
As per the Jubilee celebration, there will also be street food from our local businesses, so make sure you see what's on offer during the day.
However, this year, you will be able to enjoy time with friends and neighbours in our new Grub Hub on Kenilworth Road.
Here you'll find delicious Street Food from: Hangry Street and Graze Grub along with drinks available from a local business.
You don't need to stand up to eat your food either, as this year we have picnic tables so that you can enjoy a bite to eat whilst in the heart of the village.

Coronation Crown Competition
Dust off your gems, dig out your glue and get your scissors at the ready!
- Children not yet at school
- Infant School (Reception to Year 2 inclusive)
- Junior School (Year 3 to Year 6 inclusive)
What you need to know:
- Judging will commence at 12 noon.
- Entrants must be by the stage before judging starts.
- The judges decision is final.
Celebration Entertainment

Knowle Village Hall Association invites you to the hall for tea, coffee and delicious cakes from 10am.
Knowle and Dorridge Lions will be on the High Street with the traditional, ever popular, "Ball in the Bog" game.
Coronation Celebrations Map
We're created a map to help you find where everything is. Starting outside the Greswolde Arms is the artisan market.
The community groups can be found from St Johns Close the the church.
Street food can be found at the Grub Hub at Kenilworth Road and at St Johns Close.
Road closures will be in place from 7am to 7pm on the High Street, Kenilworth Road, and at St John's Close by The Vaults.
Entertainment, and the judging of the crown competition will be at the stage near the Red Lion.
