Knowle's Late Night Shopping and Christmas Light Switch On

Taking place on THURSDAY 27th November, the Christmas Light Switch on is taking place on the same evening as the Late Night Shopping.

Knowle's Christmas Light Switch On
There’s something truly special about the Knowle Christmas Light Switch-On. It’s more than just an event – it’s a night where the whole village comes together. Friends and neighbours catch up while keeping an eye out for Eric Lyons’ legendary sausage rolls, and children’s eyes light up as Father Christmas makes his grand arrival.
The singing, laughter at the vicar’s traditional Christmas jokes, and the buzz of chatter all combine to create a warm, welcoming, and unmistakably festive atmosphere that captures the heart of our community.
When does Father Christmas appear?
From 4:00pm, the festivities kick off with music and entertainment to set the perfect mood. All eyes then turn to Knowle Parish Church, where Father Christmas will lead the countdown to the grand light switch-on, joined by a few of the vicar’s iconic Christmas jokes!
Throughout the evening, keep your eyes peeled for festive characters popping up around the village, offering plenty of photo opportunities and seasonal fun for all ages.
- Music starts around 4:00pm
- Vicar appearance around: 4:20pm
Father Christmas arrives (subject to how clear the skies are) around: 4:30pm

Spend the evening meandering through Knowle from the top to the bottom of Knowle High Street to Station Road; St Johns Precinct; Greville Court; Brisker Court; Kimball's Walk and Swan Yard.

- Kenilworth Road closes: 3:15pm
- Knowle High Street closes: 4:00pm
- High Street reopens: approximately 5:15pm
- Kenilworth Road reopens: approximately 6:15pm
