Visit Knowle is a business led not for profit organisation, formed by a group of volunteers from businesses, community groups and residents; led by a team of volunteer Directors. Meet our Directors…

As owner of Achill Spa, Mary Liszewski welcomes guests to Achill House on Hampton Road for breakfasts, afternoon tea, treatments & overnight accommodation.

Mary’s family have been based in Knowle for many years and Mary is firmly involved in the community from volunteering with the British Legion and MS Society to volunteering to help with community events.

An active member of the Visit Knowle team since the beginning, Mary joined the board in 2022.

Salon director Lucy Keay has worked locally for the past 13 years and set up The Boutique (in the Corn Exchange) 6 years ago, offering a range of hair and beauty treatments. During Covid lockdowns, Lucy launched her second business, Howela, selling childrens-wear online which was so successful the first shop was opened on Station Road in 2022. Howela now also offers children’s haircuts too.

Lucy grew up locally, went to Arden school and is a firm supporter of Knowle. Lucy volunteered on the marketing team for Visit Knowle for two years prior to becoming a Director in 2022.

Nick Lyons joined our team of Directors in 2021. Nick is a director of one of Knowle’s oldest businesses, Eric Lyons, an artisan family butchers offering the finest meats, home made pies, pastries, ready made meals and a takeaway deli.


Nick has lived in Knowle all of his life and has many connections to the village. Outside of work, Nick loves playing cricket and has long been involved in Knowle Village Cricket Club.

Nick is a passionate advocate for Knowle and its businesses.

Neil Endley founded his business Bridge Group based in Knowle offering expertly tailored solutions to solve complex operational and business management challenges globally including Europe, Americas, Asia and the Russian Federation. The business was successfully grown and sold to Trigo Group, a global entity employing over 10,000 people. Neil now works for the group as Global Lead for Turnaround Services.


Neil has lived in Knowle for many years and strongly supports ensuring our village is a flourishing place to live, work and visit. He has been a voluntary school governor as well as supporting other local initiatives. Focused on business and operational excellence Neil is keen to support positive change within Knowle to ensure Knowle is a place that people want to reside and visit, attracts future investment and ultimately ensuring businesses can thrive.

Chris Gregory runs Heartflood Ltd, a company based in Knowle which offers professional place management advice and support to clients across the UK.


As a founding Director of Visit Knowle Chris has helped form the four teams that work on a number of projects as well as supporting them on specific initiatives. Chris has lived in Knowle for 16 years and is a member of Copt Heath Golf Club.

Dave Pinwell is one of our founding Directors and is passionate about Knowle. Dave was one of the pair of initiators who called the first Visit Knowle meeting in May 2019 bringing together businesses, residents and community groups who wanted to support our village.

Having first moved to Knowle in 1983, Dave has been involved in the community of Knowle in many ways, in particular through being an active Trustee of the Knowle Society since 2005. He was also very involved in the process of establishing the KDBH Neighbourhood Forum and, was elected as one of Knowle’s local Ward Councillors in May 2021.

Dave is a firm believer in a strong local micro-economy and the importance of having a strong commercial centre at the heart of a community and in the need for residents and businesses to be active in making where we live and trade a place to be proud of.

Kim Hulse of K Hulse Consulting is one of our founders, calling the first Visit Knowle meeting with Dave Pinwell in May 2019. Passionate about supporting local businesses by bringing together businesses to collaboratively work on projects for the benefit of the village. Kim focuses on marketing for Visit Knowle, representing Visit Knowle when meeting stakeholders and on supporting businesses, keeping them up to date with newsletters, networking events and more.

Outside of Visit Knowle, Kim provides consultancy services for business strategy and marketing to small, independent businesses.

Having visited Knowle since a young child, Kim moved to Knowle in 2006 and still enjoys the strong sense of community found in the village.
