Ahead of Knowle’s Time Machine Festival, we’re running a photography competition based on the theme of Time in Knowle!
To enter the competition, send your entries by emailing competition@visitknowle.com or by sending the image via direct message on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. If you know of residents who would like to enter but who aren’t on social media, they can submit their entries directly to Indigo Art Gallery with their contact details attached to the image.
We’ve got three fabulous local photographers who will be judging all the entries and choosing two winners – one for under 16’s and one for 16 year olds and over. If you are entering the under 16 year category, say the entrant is 16 or under when you send it in.
One prize of a 12” x 16” canvass print of your winning image from Knowle Photographic will be awarded to the winner of the 16 years and older category and to the under 16’s category winner.
If you enter the competition you are giving Visit Knowle permission to use the image in any capacity including use on websites, social media and any other printed material.

Terms and Conditions
There are some rules, as always…..
- In making an entry you are confirming that either you are the copyright holder for the photo or are submitting on behalf of the copyright holder with their permission
- The photo needs to be taken within the local area and can be landscape, portrait or square.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
- If any people are in the image you must have their express permission to use the image. If any persons under 18 years old are in the image, you must have the express permission of their parent of guardian before submitting your entry.
- Entrants may submit upto 5 images per person.
- Visit Knowle’s judging panel will judge the competition and select two winners. Our decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- This competition is open to UK residents only.
- If you are entering the category for under 16 year olds, state the entry is for this category when you send us your entry.
- Entrants under the age of 18 must get parental permission before submitting their entry.
- Closing date is midnight, 5th September. No entries received after this date will be permitted.
- Winners will be selected by a judging panel appointed by Visit Knowle.
- No responsibility will be accepted for entries no received for whatever reason.
- The prize for each category is one 12” x 16” canvass print of your winning image supplied by Knowle Photographic. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Winners will be contacted by email or direct message on Facebook / Instagram / Twitter within 14 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner. Once prize winners have been notified, the winning images will be shared on Visit Knowle Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.
