We are really excited to host the Small Business Saturday Tour Team in Knowle, Solihull on Tuesday 15th November.
Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which celebrates small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and to support businesses in their communities. The iconic campaign is celebrating its tenth year in the UK this year, with principal supporter American Express.
Most of Knowle’s businesses are small, independent businesses – in fact 78% of them are. Kim Hulse from Visit Knowle said “We know the positive impact our small businesses make in our local community in numerous ways and appreciate the difference our local residents make in their unwavering support of local businesses”.
On Tuesday, the Tour team will be meeting just a few of our inspiring businesses, live streaming interviews over on their Instagram channel, @smallbizsatuk. To find out who’s going to be featured, you’ll have to tune in.
“We are so excited to be visiting small businesses in Solihull and across the UK, as we count down to Small Business Saturday with this tour,” said Michelle Ovens CBE, Director of Small Business Saturday UK.
“This year’s campaign is all about shining a light on the nation’s fantastic small firms and showing them some major love, at a time when many are facing a lot of challenges. I would encourage all small businesses across the West Midlands to get involved, whether it is in person or online.”
Marking ten years of the campaign in the UK, Small Business Saturday’s Tour will arrive in Knowle, Solihull on 15 November and will go on to visit independent businesses across the town, spotlighting local business owners and community leaders through interviews on social media.
