Sun Shines on Station Road Market

The vibrant artisan market held last Saturday was a resounding success, drawing in eager shoppers to Station Road.

With the sun shining brightly, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly as visitors explored the diverse range of crafts, food and locally made goods on offer.

“I’m so proud to help shine the light on Station Road,” said Sue, of Number Thirty One. “All our businesses are so supportive of each other, and it was great to see everyone making the most of the day.”

Simon Durant, one of the volunteer event organisers echoed Sue’s sentiments. “We had some great feedback from visitors on the mix of stalls of the day, something we worked hard with CJ’s Events Warwickshire to achieve,” he said.

Jenna Porch, our lead organiser, expressed her delight with the outcome. “I was delighted to oversee this event,” she stated. “We’ve got a wonderful events team, and I’d like to thank Dave, Simon, Sue, and Mary for all the work that goes in ahead of the day to ensure everything ran like clockwork on Saturday. We also enjoyed seeing the High Street so busy as visitors stopped to visit our shops and café’s in the village.”

One of the participating vendors, Lisa Flowers Floral Design, was particularly pleased with the day. “I absolutely loved being at the market on Saturday,” she said. “It was so good seeing so many of my regular clients coming to say hello, and to meet lots of new potential clients.”

The artisan market gave us an opportunity to shine the light on Station Road, where a number of thriving independent businesses call Station Road their home. Bryn Wood of David Aitchison Menswear said “I’m proud to have sponsored this event. We had a wonderful day seeing loyal customers and many new faces coming into our store and we look forward to the next one”.
