One of the things that makes Knowle’s Late Night Shopping and Christmas Light Switch-On so special is the community spirit that fills the High Street. Alongside the countdown, the shopping, and the arrival of Father Christmas, it’s the live performances that really bring the atmosphere to life. This year, we’re delighted to welcome a fantastic line-up of local groups who will be joining us to help set the festive mood.
A long tradition with Arden Academy
For many years, we have enjoyed music from the talented musicians at Arden Academy. Entertaining the crowds whilst we wait for Santa, and leading us in carol singing are the magnificent Ardennaires.
Keeping the festive vibes through the evening
We are incredibly grateful to Solihull Music School, Warwickshire Dance Academy, Knowle Musical Society, and Allure School of Dance; for giving up their time to perform throughout the evening. Their enthusiasm, talent, and commitment play a huge part in creating the warm, vibrant atmosphere our village is known for at this time of year.
Solihull Music School will provide uplifting seasonal music, adding a soundtrack to your shopping and wandering. Warwickshire Dance Academy and Allure School of Dance will bring energy, movement, and a touch of magic to the High Street with their festive routines. Meanwhile, Knowle Musical Society’s performances will offer a blend of classic favourites and cheerful melodies that are guaranteed to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
These groups make a tremendous contribution to the event, and we know visitors will enjoy seeing them around the village. As you browse the shops, pick up gifts, or wait for the big switch-on, keep an eye out for our performers and take a moment to enjoy the talent within our local community.
