Community Spirit in Action

Two pupils are painting a white wall at Knowle Football Club
The incredible students from Arden Academy spent the day giving back to Knowle in so many meaningful ways back in June!

While Year 7 were on a school trip, Year 10 busy on work experience and Year 11’s revising, hundreds of Year 8 and 9 pupils spent a day volunteering across the village. From gardening and litter picking to first aid, photography, and even running a visitor survey , their energy and enthusiasm brought a real buzz to the day.

Community involvement for Visit Knowle

Pupils helped Visit Knowle by:
  • Photographing the High Street
    • Documenting the High Street in 2025, recording what makes up our High Street today. We can use these for recording how the High Street is changing and in social media posts about some of our businesses
    • Capturing images of the High Street for us to use in our social media posts, blogs and website
  • A High Street visitor survey
    • Helping Visit Knowle understand how people get to Knowle, the purpose of their visit and how often they come
  • A new children’s summer trail
    • Creating trails around the village as a summer activity
  • Creating social media content for “Knowle in 60 Seconds”
    • Bringing energy and creativity into our social media content. We can’t wait to see these!

Introducing the school to community groups and businesses

Visit Knowle was proud to play a part by sharing ideas for community actions and by introducing the school to some of local organisations.

Helping all around Knowle

Overall, community involvement included:
